Your Socratic Mathematics Seminar Comment ...
NOTE: This is not the thread for writing your Socratic Mathematics Seminar implementation report. Module 12 is for that.
A quick word from Richard:
When Anja showed me some mathematics seminar footage back in 2021, I nearly fell off my chair. This was one of the most inspirational, brilliant mathematics pedagogy ideas I'd ever seen. I was familiar with the Socratic Seminar concept in humanities subjects, but it had never occurred to me that this approach could be used in mathematics.
And so, we decided to build this module.
Nervous Nellies!
Some teachers - Anja, to name one - will be relatively confident when running a Mathematics Seminar for the first time. However, a common response will be one of reservation and nervousness. If this is you, welcome to the' normal' club! I suggest taking things one step at a time and assuming you will need to run several such seminars before you feel confident in facilitating them.
Some questions for which we'd like your feedback

Some questions for which we'd like your feedback
- How keen are you to run a Socratic Maths Seminar?
- What reservations, if any, do you have?
- Do you anticipate any issues? If yes, what are they?
- Are you inspired? Perhaps 'nervous-cited'?
