I am very glad that I have had the opportunity to complete this PD. When I was told I was going to be doing a PD like this I was really excited because I am only new to Maths teaching. It has definitely exceeded my expectations. The best aspect was coming away with multiple different strategies that I can use for all my students in the classroom. This definitely inspired me to me be more creative in my classroom and to altogether be a better Maths teacher. This was my first LIS PD and I have really enjoyed it. Other teachers in my school have completed these PD's and through their suggestions I got signed up for this one. Thank you so much for all the resources and information.

Yes, I have found the course very useful. I particularly the examples and relevant strategies that are targeted at the subject and aren't the usual vague nonsense - referring to the usual discussion of strategies but providing examples that aren't relevant to my context. I like concrete examples and especially KLA specific ones.

Hi Richard, It was a very interesting and eye opening course. Although I have been using some of the strategies, the course provided an insight on how I could improve upon them and use others that i had no idea about. I will using these in my teaching to enhance the learning of students. The course exceeded my expectation. The U1,P2 method of teaching and a movement away from the traditional teacher centred learning leads to better understanding and student engagement. This helps to curtail the behaviour issues which I have experienced with my lower level classes. I am thankful to you for providing thee strategies that leads to better class control and student learning. Great Course- encourage every teacher to do this

I found the course really helpful in reigniting some ideas and teaching methods that I sometimes have thought I'm too busy to implement. Richard was so quick with responses and very encouraging. Even at this late stage of my teaching career, I am energised by what I have learned and encountered during this course.

This course made me reflect and carefully analyse my way of teaching, and made me strive to improve myself further. It made me become more willing to 'take risks', thus utilising a variety of different approaches/strategies within my teaching of Maths, even at differing year levels. It was also great to be able to share ideas with the Team members and learn other highly effective ways to keep students motivated (especially at a particular age - Years 7/8 - when many students start to become disengaged or disinterested).

I really like the self-paced nature of this course, the repeated reminders of what's good for the students and wonderful interactions with Richard. I'm inspired by the course to continue the good work of putting students in the center so we can endeavour to help each individual grow collectively through the power of open-ended tasks/questioning and metacognition. Yes, the course has had positive changes in me. I think I'll revisit the concepts in this course whenever I feel like I'm getting stuck on a tediously boring mode of teaching. Thank you!
